The night of glamour and socio-cultural discussions witnessed the presence of top dignitaries from both countries, some of which included The Trinidad and Tobago High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Nyahuma Mentuhotep Obika and wife, Minister of Arts and Multiculturalism, Dr Lincoln Douglas, as well as the President of the Nigeria/Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Commerce, Billy Gillis. The Nigerian dignitaries present at the dinner included former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani, former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ibrahim Mantu and former Governorship aspirant in the last Anambra gubernatorial elections, Barr Godson Okoye.
Sir Emeka Offor who is the patron of the Nigeria/Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Commerce, in his speech reiterated his commitment towards consolidating the cordial relationship between the two countries.
Dignitaries from Trinidad and Tobago who took turns to render their appreciation were full of praises for Sir Offor’s benevolent gestures and pledged their commitment towards supporting the Nigerian tourism sector.
