The Fight Against Glaucoma: SEOF Contributes €150,000

At the culmination of World Glaucoma week in March, the SEOF has contributed €150,000 to endow a professorship of glaucoma in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Mainz, Germany. This is to assist research on the early detection and treatment of glaucoma. The Foundation had previously contributed more than €100,000 in an effort to find a cure for this malaise. The Foundation has also established a Nigerian Fellowship for Cataract Surgery and Glaucoma Management at the same university.
