Sir Emeka Offor Foundation’s (SEOF) Widows Cooperative Societies Ltd Visit To India

A delegation of The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation Widows Cooperative Societies Limited visited the State of Karnataka, India in October, 2012.
The delegation which comprised sixteen members of the eight (8) Widows Cooperatives Groups of the S.E.O.F and a Consultant in cooperative Studies, Sir Henry Enekebe on the three (3) weeks study visit on the invitation of a reknown non-governmental, no-profit organization, Talent Research Foundation (TRF) Mangalore of the Karnataka state, India. The delegation during their stay visited various non-governmental organizations and interacted with the members on their various activities which have enhanced economic, social and political lives of the rural populace of this state in India, their dense population notwithstanding. Such areas of interest vivted include skills Acquisition Centers, Small Holder Farms, Orphanages, Cheshire Home, destitute and Rehabilitation Centres, Designated Rural Health Centres. They were marveled at the enterprenuel attributes of the various groups manning all these centres they visited besides their holistic approaches in complying with rules and regulations especially refunding of micro-credit loans being granted by various Banks that fund their activities.
