I am pleased to share with you the good news that the federal government of Nigeria has released US$5 million of their pledge of $50 million to polio eradication in Nigeria. The support has been directed to the World Health Organization, which in turn works with Rotary and UNICEF to facilitate the immunization activities.
We greatly appreciate your work in keeping polio eradication at the forefront of President Goodluck Jonathon's priorities. We will keep you apprised as the work proceeds. Thank you for all that you do on behalf of polio eradication in Nigeria and the world.
