Encomiums As SEOF Distributes Bags Of Rice To Over 2,000 Widows

 

The faces of many widows in Oraifite, Anambra State are currently beaming with life-changing smiles following the distribution of rice by the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF). This heartfelt event took place at the SEOF Warehouse in Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State on Sunday, 8th October, 2023.
No fewer than 2,000 widows were present at the event and each one of them received a bag of 50kg rice courtesy of the foundation which has continued to show unwavering commitment towards touching lives.
The Rice distribution event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Majority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly (ANHSA), Hon. Engr. Ikenna Ofodeme, former Minority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Onyebuchi Offor, the Igwe of Oraifite, Igwe Dan Udorji, the Obi of Ezumeri, Chief Obiora Obaa, the Obi of Irefi, Chief Sunday Enekwizu, the Archdeacon of Oraifite East Archdeaconry, as well as Barr Okey Akweke and many others.
The Coordinator of SEOF, Mr. Tony Obi, warmly welcomed all the widows and dignitaries, while also expressing gratitude to the Founder of the foundation, Sir (Dr.) Emeka Offor, for his philanthropic efforts.
The Founder of the Foundation, who was represented by the Director Partnerships/Outreach for SEOF, Mrs. Ijeoma Okoro, personally danced with the widows and conveyed his immense thanks for their prayers. He promised to never waver in his commitment to humanitarian contributions, especially towards the welfare of widows in Oraifite.
It is worthy of note that SEOF has remained steadfast in its quest to promote love, compassion, and unity as we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of widows and other vulnerable members of our community.

Jubilation As Books For Africa Celebrates 35th Anniversary, Honours SEOF

We are thrilled to have been part of the 35th anniversary celebration of Books For Africa and the launch of their incredible initiative, A Book For Every Child, that held in Minnesota, United States
The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation was represented at this epoch making event by a high powered delegation which included; a Senior Director SEOF, His Excellency Ambassador Howard Jeter; the Chief of Staff SEOF, AIG Chris Okey Ezike rtd & Wife Lady Clara Ezike; a US based Legal Advisor to SEOF, Attorney Patrick Chukelu; a US based Executive SEOF, Chief Sylvan Odobulu among others.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Patrick Plonski, PhD, the Executive Director of Books For Africa, for the honor and privilege of being part of this milestone event that availed us the opportunity to share ideas on how to move books to Africa and empower the African child with knowledge geared towards building their human capacities.
We also thank the organisers for honouring SEOF with an executional recognition for the role we have played over the years in books distribution in Africa.
At the event, we seized the opportunity to make another commitment to procure five 40ft containers of Books worth millions of Naira to be delivered to Nigeria for distribution to higher institutions in the country. This is in addition to the five 40ft containers of books we have at the ports that are currently being cleared.
We, once again, pledge our unwavering commitment to continue partnering with Books For Africa in their mission to provide access to quality education through the donation of books.

SEOF Collaborates With OIU, RC Oraifite, Hosts Free Mega Medical Outreach

There was massive jubilation in Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA, over the weekend as Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF), in collaboration with Oraifite Improvement Union (OIU) and Rotary Club of Oraifite, held a Free Mega Medical Outreach for the people of the community and its environs.
The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly (ANSHA), Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, who flagged off the Free Medical Outreach, which was held at Oraifite Civic Center, praised the organisers for the initiative while calling on other good-spirited individuals in the society to emulate the gesture.
The epoch-making event attracted no fewer than 2,000 benefitting patients from several parts of the state and beyond who received various medical services at absolutely no cost!
The Chairman of the occasion, Associate Prof. Joseph Ugbaja, who is the Chief Medical Director of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, also pledged his hospital's commitment to organizing similar groundbreaking Free Medical Outreach programs in the near future.
In his remarks, Hon. Sir. Tony Obi, the Coordinator of the SEOF Foundation, extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests while also offering heartfelt prayers for Sir Dr. Emeka Offor, the Founder of SEOF, for his relentless dedication to serving humanity through the 24/7 free medical services provided at the SEOF clinic.

SEOF Collaborates With Rotary Club To Organise Free Sensitization Seminar

Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) in collaboration with Rotary Club of Oraifite organized a Health Sensitization Seminar on Saturday, 17th June 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church Hall, Amakom Ifite Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra State.

The purpose of the workshop was to sensitize the members of the community especially the Widow's Co-operative group of Amakom - Ifite Oraifite on disease conditions; Diabetes Mellitus.

Diabetes is a metabolic disease characterized by prolonged high blood sugar/glucose. It has a high prevalence in our community. The seminar which was more of an interactive session saw the facilitators explain the types, symptoms, complications, management and treatment of the disease condition and other related health challenges.

The leader of the widows Co-operative, Mrs Rose Anukwonke in her closing remark thanked the visiting health personnel, SEOF, and Rotary Club of Oraifite. She prayed immensely for the Founder of SEOF, Sir Dr. Emeka Offor for his continuous support and 24/7 free medical services being rendered to their members at the Foundation clinic.
